
CDO-MISOR Association of New York Re-elects President for 2026–2027 Term

New York — The CDO-MISOR Association of New York, a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to preserve and promote the culture, traditions, and legacy of Panaghigalaay — the spirit of friendship and camaraderie — has re-elected President Cayetano Paderanga to lead the organization for the 2026–2027 term.
During the association’s recent general assembly, members and supporters from across New York and neighboring states gathered to celebrate unity, reflect on past accomplishments, and plan new initiatives that honor their roots in Cagayan de Oro and Misamis Oriental.

The newly elected officers for the 2026–2027 term are as follows:
President (re-elected): Cayetano Paderanga
Vice President – CDO: Winnie Illana
Vice President – Misamis Oriental: Marylou Llenares Gales
Secretary: Jerico Pimentel Ebabacol
Treasurer: Eddy Casino Aranez
Public Relations Officer: Baltazar Laborte
Auditor: Aurora Levin

Board Members:Nash Naganga, Zenaida Leong Blum, Eddie Uy Echavez, Ma. Alona Mabao, Mae Bacan, Alice Quimson Manacay, Faith Jutba Labis, and Darlene Borja Bushell.
Outgoing officers were honored for their dedicated service and leadership, which have strengthened the organization’s programs and fostered camaraderie among Kagay-anons and Misamisnons in the Filipino-American community.
In a statement, outgoing Vice President and Acting President Jossie Jampayas congratulated the incoming officers and reaffirmed the association’s unwavering commitment to cultural preservation and community service.
“The CDO-MISOR Association of New York will continue to embody the true essence of Panaghigalaayby nurturing friendship, unity, and compassion among our members and by extending help to our kababayans back home,” Jampayas said.
For more than two decades, the association has served as a bridge connecting generations of Filipino immigrants through cultural events, outreach programs, and charitable initiatives — keeping alive the vibrant traditions and enduring values of Northern Mindanao.
