MANILA — Philippine authorities are investigating two apparent execution-style killings after the bodies of two men were discovered in separate provinces on Sunday, October 12.
The first victim was found early in the morning in Barangay San Rafael, a village in Rodriguez, Rizal, about 15 miles east of Manila. The man, who had several tattoos and was wearing a gray T-shirt and light green jacket, was discovered with his hands tied and his head wrapped in black plastic. Police believe he may have been killed elsewhere and his body later dumped at the scene.
Several hours later, at around 11:45 a.m., another male body was found at the bottom of a ravine along the Ternate-Nasugbu Road in Barangay Sapang 1, located in the province of Cavite, southwest of the capital. The second victim’s hands were handcuffed behind his back, and his head was also wrapped in black plastic — leading investigators to suspect a possible connection between the two killings.
Both victims remain unidentified as of press time. Forensic teams have been deployed to collect DNA samples, fingerprints, and other physical evidence from both sites. Investigators are also reviewing surveillance footage from nearby roads and checking missing persons reports in surrounding areas.
Authorities have not ruled out the possibility that the killings were linked or carried out by an organized group. The bodies were transferred to separate morgues for autopsy and further examination.
As of Monday, the Philippine National Police had not released additional details, but officials said the investigation remains ongoing as they work to determine the motive and identify those responsible.
