MANILA, Philippines - Century Tuna Superbods is entering a bold new chapter as the country’s premier fitness competition celebrates its 20th anniversary with a renewed mission to promote holistic wellness, inclusivity and purpose-driven transformation.
Dubbed the “Superbod Era,” this year’s competition moves beyond celebrating physical appearance by highlighting the personal stories, mental strength, discipline and health advocacies behind every fit body.
Hundreds of hopefuls from across the Philippines joined the search, with selected candidates taking the stage during the highly anticipated Final Callback. The event showcased a diverse group of contestants representing different ages, body types, professions and life experiences.
Among the hopefuls were returning contestants pursuing the title for a second, third or fourth time, working mothers rebuilding their confidence, hands-on fathers promoting healthier families, parent-and-child teams and older contenders proving that vitality has no age limit.
The historic batch also included fitness coaches, celebrities, models and transgender men competing for the first time, reflecting Century Tuna’s commitment to making health and wellness more inclusive and accessible to Filipinos from all walks of life.
The candidates were evaluated through a high-energy runway presentation and a question-and-answer segment designed to test their confidence, charisma, stage presence and commitment to holistic wellness.
The judging panel included Century Pacific Food Inc. executives, actress and fitness advocate Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and former Century Tuna Superbods winners Jules Aquino and Christelle Abello.
Century Pacific Food Inc. Vice President, General Manager and Group Business Head Carlo Endaya said the competition continues to evolve while remaining committed to helping Filipinos become healthier and more vibrant versions of themselves.
He said the new era celebrates the combination of passion, dedication, mental strength and overall wellness, with the contestants’ stories demonstrating how modern Filipinos are ready to embrace healthier lifestyles.
Century Tuna brand ambassador Anne Curtis also joined the Top 40 finalists during the official launch of the Superbod Era.
The finalists used the platform to share their personal journeys, the challenges they overcame and the health advocacies they hope to promote. Their causes ranged from accessible nutrition and mental wellness to inclusive physical training and active family lifestyles.
Curtis praised the competition for putting genuine human stories at the center of the campaign and giving finalists an opportunity to inspire others through their passion for health and wellness.
Since their selection, the finalists have undergone workshops, fitness activities and wellness challenges designed to prepare them not only as competitors but also as ambassadors of healthier living.
Organizers said physical fitness may bring the candidates to the stage, but their personal purpose, resilience and commitment to helping others are what define a true Superbod.
What began two decades ago as a premier fitness competition has grown into a nationwide movement encouraging Filipinos to embrace wellness, self-love and active lifestyles.
As the competition moves toward its grand finale, Century Tuna Superbods aims to prove that everyone regardless of age, identity, profession or personal background can begin their own Superbod Era.
