A Vibrant Celebration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day in New York
Thousands gathered in New York City for the largest Philippine Independence Day celebration outside the Philippines, marking the 127th anniversary with color, culture, and unity.








Various organizations from across the East Coast flocked to New York City to take part in the celebration.








One of the highlights of the event was the performance of Banda El Gobernador from Bacoor, Cavite, who flew in from the Philippines—led by Bacoor Mayor Strike Revilla—to showcase the exceptional talent and pride of their hometown.

The Bacoor city government spent ₱15 million to bring Banda El Gobernador to New York, where they proudly showcased their world-class talent to the Filipino and Filipino American community. Spectators were captivated by the band’s vibrant performance along Madison Avenue in Manhattan.

Banda El Gobernador brought energy and pride to the streets of New York City as they performed “Piliin Mo ang Pilipinas,” delighting the crowd and getting spectators to dance during the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration.






Familiar faces from the Filipino community came together in celebration, bringing warmth and a sense of home to the Independence Day festivities in New York.

Grand Marshal Dr. Emilio Quines Jr. and Angie Cruz, joined by longtime community supporters Mike and Jossie Jampayas, continue to inspire with their unwavering dedication to the Filipino-American community during the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City.

New York Consul General Senen Mangalile and his wife Fe, together with Bacoor Cavite Mayor Strike Revilla, PIDCI President Arman David and PIDCI Executive Director Nora Galleros, lead the ceremonial ribbon-cutting to kick off the 127th Philippine Independence Day Parade—the largest celebration of its kind outside the Philippines—held in New York City.

Former Honorary Grand Marshal Ambassador Mario De Leon Jr. and his wife continue to show unwavering support for Filipino community events, gracing the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City with their presence.

Ladies for Rizal President, Atty. Elizabeth Cueva — a well-known community leader and public servant — joined the 127th Philippine Independence Day celebration in New York City alongside members of her group, proudly representing the legacy and values of Rizal.
