Manila, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. administered the oath of office to Hon. Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro as the new Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in a ceremony held at Malacañang Palace.
Before her formal appointment, Secretary Lazaro was awarded the Order of Sikatuna, Grand Cross (Datu), Gold Distinction, one of the highest honors conferred by the Philippine government in the field of diplomacy.
