SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — A 35-year-old rider met a gruesome end after his skull was blown apart when three motorcycle-riding men gunned him down in broad daylight Friday morning.
The victim, known only as Marvin, of Brgy. Gaya-gaya, was left sprawled in a pool of blood on the road. But even while gravely wounded, he managed to squeeze off shots from his firearm, hitting one of his attackers.
Viral CCTV footage captured the chilling moment: the rider, already on the ground beside his toppled motorcycle, pulled the trigger and struck a suspect. But his defiance was short-lived — another gunman walked up, shot him in the head point-blank, grabbed his weapon, and fled toward Gov. F. Halili Road.
Police launched a hot pursuit and arrested two alleged accomplices: a certain “Prince,” tagged as the spotter, and “Joeli,” accused of helping load the injured gunman onto their getaway motorcycle. Seized from the duo were .45 caliber pistols, magazines loaded with bullets, and several cellphones.
Investigators revealed there was bad blood between the victim and the suspects long before the deadly encounter.
The SJDM police are continuing their probe into the brutal slaying that has sent shockwaves through the community.
