Los Angeles, CA— Nearly 200 golfers from across the Filipino American community in Los Angeles came together for the ConGen Cup Invitational Golf Tournament, a fundraising event initiated by Love To Serve, Inc. and supported by the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles. The tournament was held at the Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park, California.
The event combined friendly competition with a shared mission to give back to the community. Consul General Adelio Angelito S. Cruz led the ceremonial tee-off, highlighting the importance of promoting compassion and charity through sports. He emphasized that the tournament serves not only as a recreational gathering but also as a meaningful initiative that uplifts lives through collective generosity.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit several charitable institutions, including the ASEAN Women’s Circle of Los Angeles, which fosters friendship and unity among ASEAN nations; the Golden Reception and Action Center for the Elderly and Other Special Cases (GRACES), which provides care and support for senior citizens and other vulnerable groups; the Basilica Minore de San Pedro Bautista, a historic parish and minor basilica in Quezon City, Philippines; and Love To Serve, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to making technology more accessible by refurbishing and donating IT equipment to underserved communities.
The tournament concluded with an evening reception featuring award presentations, live entertainment, raffle prizes, and dancing. Participants celebrated both their athletic achievements and their united efforts to support meaningful causes.
Organizers said the success of the ConGen Cup showcased the strong spirit of solidarity within the Filipino American community, reflecting its enduring commitment to service, compassion, and nation-building — both in the United States and the Philippines.
