Authorities have launched an urgent search for a 16-year-old Filipino teenager who disappeared on Hawai‘i Island and is considered endangered because he may need medical attention.

Hawai‘i Island police identified the missing teen as Xian Andres of Kea‘au.

According to police, Andres was last seen at around 9:20 a.m. on October 2, 2026, driving a blue 2024 Subaru BRZ two-door coupe with Hawaii license plate ZMG 315.

He was reportedly traveling northbound on Highway 130 from Kukula Street in Kea‘au before he went missing.

Police said Andres is Filipino, stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He has medium-length straight black hair and brown eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, Andres was wearing a black hoodie with blue sleeves over a white hoodie, faded black jeans with yellow stars near the hip area, and maroon-colored prescription glasses.

Authorities have classified Andres as a missing and endangered person, citing concerns that he may be in need of medical attention.

Police are urging anyone who has seen Andres, his vehicle, or who may have information about his whereabouts to immediately call 911 or the Hawai‘i Police Department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311.
