Federal authorities arrested Gil Satrain at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on June 4 on a charge of attempted production of child sexual abuse material, according to Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Los Angeles.
HSI alleged that Satrain used online communications to entice a minor into producing and sending nude photographs and sexually explicit videos. The arrest was carried out by HSI Los Angeles with assistance from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California.
Federal prosecutors have not publicly released additional details about the identity of the alleged victim or the specific circumstances surrounding the investigation. The charge remains an allegation, and Satrain is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
