Fil-Am passenger from San Francisco nabbed over falsification case

A flight from San Francisco ended in police custody for a 64-year-old Filipino American after authorities served an outstanding arrest warrant at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on October 26, 2026.
According to the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP AVSEGROUP), the passenger was wanted in connection with a public document falsification case, with recommended bail set at ₱12,000.
Bureau of Immigration personnel alerted NAIA Police Station 1 to the outstanding warrant, prompting officers to check the PNP e-Warrant System.
After confirming that the warrant remained valid and unserved, airport police teamed up with the Southern Police District’s Baclaran Police Sub-Station 3 to make the arrest.
The passenger, whose identity was not disclosed in the supplied police statement, was turned over to the Baclaran unit for documentation and legal proceedings.
The charge involves alleged falsification of a public document under Article 172 in relation to Article 171 of the Revised Penal Code. Police did not disclose details of the alleged offense.
PNP AVSEGROUP Director Brig. Gen. Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr. said authorities would strengthen coordination with partner agencies to enforce arrest warrants while observing the law and due process.
He stressed that airports must not become safe passageways for individuals facing criminal cases.
