Camarines Norte police bust harassment suspect in cyber operation

DAET, CAMARINES NORTE — A young woman endured sheer torment after a 21-year-old man allegedly used her intimate photos and videos to threaten, harass, and force her to obey his every demand.

The suspect, known only by the alias “Falcon,” was caught flat-footed when operatives of the Camarines Norte Provincial Cyber Response Team stormed the scene during an entrapment operation on November 18, 2025, at around 11:30 a.m. Weeks of police investigation reportedly uncovered the suspect’s vile scheme: gain access to the woman’s private images, threaten to leak them, and then demand favors in exchange for keeping quiet.

Investigators said “Falcon’s” threats escalated to the point where the victim felt she had no choice but to approach the authorities. This prompted a digital surveillance operation that ultimately led to a live, airtight sting leaving the suspect with zero escape.

“Falcon” now faces charges for violating Article 286 (Grave Coercion) of the Revised Penal Code, in relation to Section 6 of the Cybercrime Prevention Act (RA 10175). The charges are heavy — with the potential for long-term imprisonment especially with evidence reportedly showing his deliberate use of sensitive materials to extort and intimidate.

PBGEN Wilson C. Asueta, Acting Director of the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, praised his operatives for their swift and decisive actions. “The PNP ACG will not stop hunting down abusers who weaponize private photos to harass women. This is a fight for everyone,” the general stressed.

He urged victims to speak up. “Do not be afraid. Do not hesitate to report. We are here to protect you.”

As of now, “Falcon” remains detained while investigators look into the possibility that more victims may step forward potentially exposing an even wider pattern of his alleged digital predation.
