Blood in Uniform: ‘Chop-Chop Cop’ Kills, Hacks Fellow Officer Over Affair

TAGUIG CITY — Investigators were horrified by a bloodcurdling revelation: a high-ranking police officer allegedly murdered, dismembered, and hid the remains of his fellow cop—right inside a Philippine National Police (PNP) camp!

Police Lt. Col. Roderick Pascua was arrested on June 24 after a warrant of arrest was served while he was already in detention at the custodial facility of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) in Camp Bagong Diwa. This was confirmed by PBGen Bonard Briton, Director of the Philippine National Police – Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG).

The warrant, issued by Branch 271 of the National Capital Judicial Region, carried no bail for the charge of murder.

The victim? Police Executive Master Sgt. Emmanuel de Asis, who—according to investigations—was allegedly killed and dismembered by Pascua on November 28, 2023. What shocked the public even more was the discovery of the victim’s body parts a week later—buried in Pascua’s ancestral home in Baguio City.

Jealousy is believed to be the motive behind the gruesome crime. Reports say Pascua caught his wife in a compromising situation with De Asis—driving him into a fit of rage.

“It’s unbelievable—like a scene straight out of a horror film,” said one official who requested anonymity. “You’d never think one cop would do this to another, and inside police headquarters at that!”

Pascua is now in the custody of IMEG at Camp Crame as authorities continue a deeper investigation.
