A 27-year-old woman was found dead with multiple stab wounds inside a Turks Shawarma branch in Quezon City early Sunday morning, with police identifying her former co-worker as the primary suspect.

The victim, known only by the alias “Lyka,” was a service crew member at the shawarma outlet and a resident of Barangay San Jose, Del Monte, Quezon City. Her body was discovered around 8:55 a.m. by a fellow employee who arrived to begin the morning shift.

According to a report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (CIDU-QCPD), Lyka was found lifeless and bloodied on the kitchen floor of the establishment located at the corner of Tandang Sora Avenue and Quirino Highway in Barangay Sangandaan.

Authorities have identified the suspect as “Eduard,” 22, a former Turks employee and resident of Nitang Gulod Avenue, Novaliches, Quezon City. He is currently at large.

Initial investigation by Police Corporal Nestor V. Ariz Jr. revealed that the victim's co-worker, identified only as “Pastoral,” arrived at the store for his opening shift and was alarmed to find the shop still open. Upon entering, he discovered the victim’s body in the kitchen area.

A team from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), led by Police Senior Master Sergeant Frederico Manzano, recovered several items from the crime scene, including a brown wallet containing two IDs under the name “Eduardo,” multiple ATM cards, PHP 1,000 in cash, two kitchen knives, a mobile phone, a brown shirt, and the victim’s ID.

A cursory medical examination indicated the victim had sustained multiple stab wounds on various parts of her body.

Turks manager “Baby Girl” provided access to CCTV footage linked to her mobile phone. Upon review, investigators found that at approximately 9:02 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, the suspect entered the store while the victim was working.

Footage showed the suspect forcibly dragging the victim into the kitchen, where he proceeded to stab her multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the brutal killing and are conducting a manhunt to locate and arrest the suspect.
