PBBM Exposes Flood Control 'Big Fish' ₱100B Cornered by Top 15 Contractors!

Manila, Philippines - Malacañang just dropped a political bombshell — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has bared the names of the country’s Top 15 flood control contractors accused of cornering nearly ₱100 BILLION from the government’s ₱545.64-billion flood control budget since July 2022!

In a fiery press briefing, Marcos revealed that an initial probe by the Department of Economy, Planning and Development (DepDev) found massive irregularities after the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) submitted a complete list of flood control projects.

And the twist? Anyone can now check it themselves — the names and project details are LIVE on www.sumbongsapangulo.ph. “Open the website… search your area… see for yourself,” Marcos dared the public.

THE ‘BIG 5’ EVERYWHERE

Out of the 15, five mega-contractors dominate almost the entire map: Legacy Construction Corp., Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp., St. Timothy Construction Corp., EGB Construction Corp., and Road Edge Trading & Development Services.

RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE

The audit covered 9,855 flood control projects nationwide, with ₱545.64 billion spent from July 2022 to May 2025. Shockingly, 6,021 projects worth ₱350 billion have no clear descriptions of what was built, fixed, or rehabilitated.

Marcos was blunt: “If you tell me there are 50 projects, all exactly ₱150 million each… impossible!”

FLOOD CONTROL… WHERE THERE’S NO FLOOD?

The investigation uncovered bizarre trends — flood control projects mushrooming in areas barely hit by floods, while chronically flooded provinces are left struggling.

The Top 10 most flood-prone areas — Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Maguindanao, North Cotabato, Oriental Mindoro, and Ilocos Norte — ironically don’t get the bulk of the projects.

With the cat now out of the bag, the heat is on. Billions are in question. Contractors are in the spotlight. And the public has the receipts — all just a click away.
