Jersey City, NJ — The Philippine American Friendship Community, Inc. (PAFCOM) proudly celebrated its annual “Parade and Festival” this past weekend, uniting thousands of community members, families, and supporters in a lively tribute to Filipino culture, heritage, and community pride. Held at Lincoln Park, the event featured a full day of festivities beginning with a Holy Mass at 10 a.m., followed by a colorful community parade, culminating in an exciting lineup of entertainment.

Despite an early morning downpour, the community’s resilience shone through. Attendees and participants showed unwavering spirit, filling the park with energy and enthusiasm. The event showcased vendor booths highlighting Filipino businesses, traditional products, and a delectable array of Filipino street foods, much to the delight of the crowd.

This year’s celebration was led by PAFCOM President Joyce Castillo, whose dedication and leadership were central to the event’s success. She was joined by the 2025 Grand Marshal, Leonora “Nora” Galleros-Tinio, a respected community leader whose presence added a layer of inspiration and honor to the festivities.

“The turnout and energy this year were incredible,” Castillo expressed. “We are grateful to have celebrated PAFCON’s 35th anniversary with a Mass and parade at Lincoln Park—our first time gathering together in one place to honor our community, faith, and Filipino heritage. Even with the rain, the community showed pride and joy. This isn’t just a celebration; it’s a way to honor our roots, our people, and the Filipino American story.”
