Despite the heavy rains and widespread flooding brought on by two low-pressure areas, the show went on for the 2025 Miss Philippines Earth Press Presentation held last July 22 at the upscale Lotus Ballroom of Lime Hotels and Resort.
The country’s premier environmental beauty pageant introduced its latest batch of eco-warriors to the media and invited guests, with candidates hailing from different cities, provinces, and even Filipino communities abroad. The event marked the official kickoff of the pageant’s Silver Anniversary season.
One of the highlights of the day was the awarding of the Media’s Choice Silver Linings, where three standout candidates captured the hearts of journalists and entertainment press in attendance:
Gold Medalist: Miss La Paz, Leyte – Angel Rose Campo Tambal
Silver Medalist: Miss Vigan, Ilocos Sur – Austhrie Sanchez
Bronze Medalist: Miss Antipolo City – Liz Mabao
The ladies received roaring applause as they accepted their medals, with Angel Rose from La Paz, Leyte emerging as an early fan favorite.
A Moment with the Woman Behind the Pageant
In a heartfelt moment, pageant co-founder Ms. Lorraine Schuck shared her reflections on the journey of Miss Philippines Earth since its inception in 2001.
"You have to fight for what you believe in and put your heart into it,” Schuck said. “Many doubted us back then. They said it wouldn’t last two years. And now we’re here—25 years later—with queens who are not just beautiful but also champions of the environment."
HANA Names Top 10 Beauties
Adding excitement to the event, HANA, one of the pageant’s major sponsors, unveiled the Top 10 Silver Linings for the HANA Beauties Award:
Antipolo City – Liz Mabao
Bacoor City – Joy Barcoma
La Paz, Leyte – Angel Rose Campo Tambal
Malaybalay, Bukidnon – Dane Amante

These ladies will now vie for the Best HANA Beauty Award, to be decided through social media engagement. Fans are encouraged to “like” their official HANA photos to show support.
A Silver Milestone
As Miss Philippines Earth celebrates 25 years of beauty and environmental advocacy, the organization continues to grow stronger, thanks to its unwavering mission and loyal supporters.
“We’ve seen this organization from day one,” said a longtime media partner. “And through the years, they’ve treated us like family. They never lost the passion.”
Congratulations to the Miss Philippines Earth team for reaching this silver milestone—and to this year’s stunning batch of eco-beauties who are already making waves!
