New York, NY — The Knights of Rizal (KOR) Eastern USA Region will once again take on the esteemed role of color guards for the 2025 Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI) Parade in Manhattan. Building on the success of their participation in the 2024 parade, the Knights will continue their tradition of leading the community's celebration of Philippine independence and national pride.

The KOR's involvement was confirmed by Sir Arman David, President of PIDCI, and Sir Mariano Aquino Jr., KGOR, the 2025 PIDCI Parade Chair. Their collaboration further solidifies the Knights' key role in the annual event, highlighting the organization’s commitment to Dr. José Rizal's ideals and the Filipino community in New York.

The Knights will be at the forefront of the parade, with a contingent of 25 to 30 members leading the procession by carrying the Philippine national flag. Following them will be past and present international officers, along with regional, area, and chapter commanders. Various area commands and chapter members will also march in unity behind them, symbolizing the collective strength of the organization.

The Knights are finalizing logistical details to ensure full participation, making sure their presence is both strong and unified. The role of color guards not only showcases the Knights' commitment to unity and discipline but also serves as a powerful reminder of their dedication to the values of Dr. Rizal.

The 2025 parade will also see a larger turnout from the Knights of Rizal, with about 150 members expected to participate. The event will be a show of solidarity and commitment to the Philippines and its rich cultural heritage. The Knights’ involvement reflects their deep respect for the Philippines’ journey to independence and their continued efforts to serve as a source of inspiration for future generations of Filipinos.
