Manila, Philippines — Jasmine Omay, the reigning Universal Woman-Philippines 2025, is set to represent the country on the international stage as the prestigious Universal Woman competition finally pushes through this year. Originally scheduled for March, the pageant was postponed due to rising geopolitical tensions between host country India and Pakistan.
Despite the delay, Jasmine remained focused and used the extended time to intensify her preparations. During her official send-off held at the upscale Victoria Sports Tower along EDSA, Jasmine expressed her deep commitment to make the Philippines proud and her goal of securing a historic back-to-back victory for the country. The current Universal Woman titleholder is fellow Filipina Maria Gigante of Cebu.
“I’ve trained harder and focused on what truly matters—representing the Filipino woman with pride, grace, and purpose,” Jasmine said during the event. “I’m driven not only by the crown but by the chance to make an impact.”
The Universal Woman pageant is a global platform that celebrates the unique brilliance and contributions of modern women. Emphasizing purpose over pageantry, the competition is open to women aged 25 to 45, with no restrictions on height, weight, or marital status—promoting inclusivity and redefining beauty standards.
As part of its expanded mission, the organization recently launched the Universal Mission—a global initiative empowering women to lead philanthropic efforts that create positive change for women and children around the world.
“This is the new era of pageantry,” organizers said in a statement. “We celebrate women not only for their beauty but for the confidence they exude and the real-world impact they make.”
Jasmine Omay’s journey now serves as a beacon of empowerment for many Filipinas, as she carries the Philippine flag with pride and purpose on the Universal Woman stage.
