House of horror: Decomposing body found under bed

A 36-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her own husband, a security guard, before her body was stuffed inside a garbage bag and hidden under their bed in Samal, Bataan.

Police said the victim, known by the alias “Jenelyn,” was found already decomposing at around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday inside their home in Sitio Adamson, Barangay Gugo.

The horrifying discovery was made after the victim’s sister went to check on her, worried because she had not been seen for three days. When the sister opened the door, a strong foul odor immediately filled the house.

She searched the room and discovered a black garbage bag under the bed. Inside was the decomposing body of Jenelyn.

Authorities are now hunting for the victim’s 36-year-old husband, a security guard, who is being eyed as the primary suspect in the killing.

Initial police investigation showed the victim was strangled using an electrical cable. After killing her, the suspect allegedly placed her body inside a garbage bag and concealed it under the bed.

The victim’s sister said Jenelyn had been planning to leave her husband after learning that he was involved with another woman.
