Filipino American communities joined millions of Americans who took to the streets across the United States to protest the policies of President Donald Trump.

In New York, thousands of demonstrators flooded the streets, marching from Columbus Circle to Times Square in Midtown Manhattan for the third “No Kings” protest.

Carrying placards and banners, protesters openly condemned Trump’s leadership.

At the center of their concerns were immigration policies, funding for the Department of Homeland Security, alleged interference in Venezuela’s sovereignty, and what they described as a sudden, unplanned attack on Iran now impacting the global economy amid oil supply concerns.

Several high-profile figures also joined the protest, including actor Robert De Niro and civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton.

The “No Kings” rallies were held nationwide, with more than 3,300 events across all 50 states, drawing millions of participants.

Filipino Americans were among the active groups on the ground, joining a broad coalition of grassroots organizations calling for immigrant rights, democratic protections, and government accountability.

Organizers say the growing participation of diverse communities—including Filipino Americans reflects widening resistance to what they describe as authoritarianism under the Trump administration.
