New York - Filipino business leaders, community advocates, and investment enthusiasts gathered at the Philippine Center in Manhattan for a lively Investment and Tax Briefing & Book Launch hosted by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – New York (PTIC-NY) in collaboration with the Philippine Consulate General and the Asian Consulting Group (ACG).
The event highlighted the Philippines’ booming economy, record foreign investments, and new opportunities for global business. Trade Commissioner Alma Argayoso shared how the country continues to attract investors with its dynamic growth, while Consul General Senen Mangalile underscored the importance of a sustainable, climate-resilient economy in keeping investors confident.
A standout moment of the evening was the keynote by Mon Abrea, Harvard-trained, Oxford-educated, and Duke-certified global tax expert. Abrea not only broke down how transparent and efficient tax systems are helping the Philippines stay competitive, but also launched his new book, Reimagining the World Without Climate Change, promoting ESG investing and sustainable tourism for a greener, more prosperous future.
The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of Filipino American leaders, including lawyer and philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis, who supported the initiatives aiming for a transparent and environmentally conscious economic framework.
This gathering marks a milestone for PTIC-NY and ACG, as the Philippines continues to strengthen its ties with overseas investors and showcase the talent, resilience, and vision of Filipino business leaders.
