TAYSAN, Batangas – What started as a night of drinking between friends turned deadly after a heated argument ended in a shooting and a retaliatory killing on Sunday evening, August 24, in Barangay San Marcelino.
Police identified the victim as Reymark Bagon, who died instantly after being shot twice in the chest and stomach by his drinking companion known only as “Amado.”
According to a report from the Taysan Municipal Police, the two men were drinking at Bagon’s residence around 7:30 p.m. when their conversation escalated into a quarrel. In the heat of the moment, Amado allegedly drew a .38 caliber revolver and fired at Bagon.
The victim’s wife, Lyn Villasoto, witnessed the incident and, in a fit of rage, chased the suspect. Armed with a bladed weapon, she hacked Amado multiple times in different parts of his body, resulting in his immediate death as well.
Investigators recovered a .38 caliber revolver and two spent shells from the crime scene.
Villasoto is now in police custody as authorities continue their investigation into the double killing.
