Camarines Norte Students to Compete in World-Class Robotics Competitions in Taiwan, Thailand, and Australia

Camarines Norte, Philippines – Young innovators from Camarines Norte are preparing to represent the Philippines on the global stage as they qualify for three prestigious international robotics competitions: the World Robot Games 2025 in Taiwan, Global Robotics Competition in Thailand, and the International Robot Olympics in Australia.


Their participation comes after a triumphant performance at the Summer Robot Games and Youth Convention 2025held on July 12–13 at De La Salle Santiago Zobel School in Muntinlupa City, where they emerged as top contenders.


Vinzons Pilot High School Leads the Delegation


Representing Vinzons Pilot High School are the following students:


  • Paul Jamiriquai E. Lagriada

  • Atasha Ivory G. Ragrario

  • Clintt Michael D. De Leon

  • Ethan Lance R. Cu

  • Ralph Jorence P. Rasco

  • Aljohn D. Alvarez

  • Marjohn Dominic T. Fajardo

  • Mark Nathan N. Tenorio

  • Clyde Davad


Their coaches, Melvin S. Balane and Richard V. Portion, will also participate in the Coach Edition. They are supported by mentors Jonalyn Rasco and Josie Lita Daniel, Head Teachers Ruben H. Tanierla (Science) and Mary Grace V. Capistrano (TLE), Assistant Principal Edesa T. Balmeo, Principal Teresita A. Orendain, and PSDS Emelda Acuesta.


Other Schools Join the International Lineup


From Camarines Norte National High School, student participants include:


  • Angelo Elnar

  • Gail Beloro


They are guided by coaches Roma Ester Barco, John Rommel Leop, and Jade Erickson Sale, along with Assistant Principal Wilson Angel H. Villarin, Principal Francisco D. Torrero, and PSDS Renita Abraham of Daet North and South.


Paracale High School will also send representatives:


  • Benedict C. De Viana

  • Rhaine Jade D. Bravo

  • Zairyl Ray E. Baluca

  • Anica Quizon


They are coached by Carren Salen, with support from Assistant Principal John Tabuzo, Principal Arminda G. David, and PSDS Glenda Rito of the Paracale District.


From Moreno Integrated School, the student team includes:


  • Ace Dylan P. Parale

  • Gavyn Riel L. Babor

  • Xian Glenndee P. Parale

  • Sean Xander B. Alem

  • Jeus D. Laborte

  • John Vincent C. Galvez


Their mentors are Fabian D. Macuha and Maria Sheryl R. Macuha, working closely with Marites I. Ortua (Head Teacher III - Science), Mark Louie Martinez (Head Teacher III - TLE), and Principal Alicia I. Quinito, PhD. PSDS Renita Abraham also plays a key role in their preparation.


Division-Wide Support and Provincial Backing


The students' success has been made possible through the strong support of the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Camarines Norte, led by EPS for Science Noel V. Ibis, EPS for TLE Nixon Olfindo, Division Head Emma T. Soriano, and Schools Division Superintendent Tito Morcilla.


The Department of Education – Camarines Norte also expressed gratitude to the Provincial Government for its consistent support in empowering students through STEM education and robotics.


With determination and full community backing, these students are poised to showcase Filipino talent and ingenuity on the international stage.
