The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) gave a heartfelt send-off to Binibini Myrna Esguerra at the World Kitchens in Gateway Mall 2, Araneta City, as she prepares to represent the Philippines at the Miss International 2025pageant in Tokyo, Japan.

The intimate gathering brought together Esguerra’s family, friends, members of the media, pageant enthusiasts, and fellow Binibini queens, who joined in celebrating her journey and extending their support before her departure next month.

Born and raised in Abra, Esguerra embodies grit, resilience, and self-reliance. The 24-year-old beauty—born to a Kapampangan father and an Ilocano mother—grew up as one of sixteen siblings. Her family later moved to Angeles City, Pampanga, where she pursued her college education while supporting herself through modeling and joining local beauty pageants.

Her determination eventually paid off when she won the Miss Abra 2023 title, earning the opportunity to represent her province for the first time at the 60th Binibining Pilipinas Pageant in 2024. There, she made history as the first representative from Abra to win the Binibining Pilipinas International crown.

Esguerra also dominated the special awards segment, winning Best in National Costume, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, and Binibining Philippine Airlines. Just weeks after her victory, she completed her degree in Tourism Management with a Specialization in MICE Events from the City College of Angeles.

Beyond pageantry, Esguerra is an event coordinator and host, and an active environmental advocate. She uses her platform to promote environmental preservation and sustainability, volunteering in cleanup drives nationwide and collaborating with the National Cleanup Coalition Philippines, an alliance of cleanup organizations, government agencies, and local government units.

With her advocacy and passion, Myrna Esguerra now aims to bring home the seventh Miss International crown for the Philippines at the Miss International 2025 coronation night, set for November 27 in Tokyo, Japan.
