MANILA, Philippines – The stage shimmered with silver elegance as Joy Barcoma of Bacoor City emerged victorious at the 25th Miss Philippines Earth coronation night held at The Cove in Okada Manila. The pageant veteran, known for her commanding stage presence and advocacy for environmental conservation, bested 35 candidates from across the Philippines and Filipino communities overseas.

Barcoma’s win marks the start of her journey to represent the country at the Miss Earth 2025 international pageantlater this year. “This is more than just a crown,” she said after the coronation. “This is a responsibility to be a voice for Mother Earth.”

The evening was a showcase of beauty, grace, and purpose. The court of elemental queens was announced as follows:

  • Miss Philippines Air 2025 – Liz Mabao of Antipolo City

  • Miss Philippines Water 2025 – Angel Rose Tambal of La Paz, Leyte

  • Miss Philippines Fire 2025 – Jaymie Strickland from the Filipino Community of Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Miss Philippines Earth is known not only for its glamour but also for its mission of promoting sustainability and environmental awareness. Over the years, it has encouraged candidates to champion eco-friendly initiatives in their own communities. The Philippines holds the distinction of being the top-performing nation in Miss Earth history, with four international crowns courtesy of Karla Paula Ginteroy Henry (2008), Jamie Herrell (2014), Angelia Gabrena Ong (2015), and Karen Ibasco (2017).

With her poise, intelligence, and passion for environmental causes, Joy Barcoma now carries the hopes of the nation on her journey to the Miss Earth stage. Pageant fans are already rallying behind her, confident she has what it takes to bring home the country’s fifth Miss Earth crown.

The night proved once again that in Miss Philippines Earth, beauty truly blooms with a purpose.
